Engraved armorials to both sides show that this coffeepot was commissioned by an aristocratic family.Baluster form tapering body resting on circular stepped spreading foot. Scroll-decorated cast handle mountings and ornate leaf capped swan neck spout.Stepped and domed ogee lid surmounted with a figural pinecone finial. The double C-scroll handle is made of fruitwood that has lovely warm patina and beautiful grain.Finely chased all over with scrolls, rocaille work and foliage - the engraving is very crisp and shows highly masterful workmanship.747 g / 24.0 t oz24 cm tall18 cm spout to handle11 cm base diameterVery good antique condition.
