Description: Antique Georgian 1780 - 1800 Mahogany Wood English Needlework Box Very Rare. 3.75 x 9.75 x 6.75 Made out of mahagony wood. Removeable tray insert, fitted gilt tooled interior for scissors, needles, tweezers, etc. 8 small compartments. There are 3 double wood mahogany spools, 2 with thread. The empty one is broke. Green velvet covering with very fine wood shavings underneath to hold your needles. 1 open compartment under the tray. Silk pink fabric with a bow in the center underneath the lid. On the top of the lid, a gold tone shield with the initials TL No Key There are issues with the lock area and closure hardware. There is wood damage that is consistent for its age.
