Antique German Grandmother Lenzkirch Floor Clock Carved Oak Victorian Cherub

Description: FREE SHIPPING method adjusted to buyer's zone and item Vintage Rare 1870's German unsigned Lenzkirch Grandmother's Clock ~ Solid Oak and possibly some Walnut wood with ornate brass time pieces, and brass cherub angel ornamentation. There is an ornate Victorian spindle bridge walk around the top. Classic Eastlake 19th century carved wood case. The Lenzkirch clocks from serial numbers prior to 185,000 were commonly unsigned. A clockmaker or horologist confirmed this as an original Lenzkirch.It has its original patina which shows the passing of time. It belonged to its most recent estate for 67 years. I did a light dust job including the back compartment, after taking photos, so it still has room for more detail and oil; rather a diamond in the dust. Photos were taken inside; not the best lighting.It has its original brass pendulum, as well as its original brass clock key. Also it retains its original bevel glass door.Its finish and wooden case is all original. The ornate bridge at top is all present. The patina is worn in some places but original, long past its 100th year as it has never been refinished. It works. It was checked by a clock maker two years ago...reported to be in excellent shape. Very rare clock, that once shipped in two boxes will possibly, require a clocksmith visit to have the timing reset.Wonderful accent piece for a Cottage Chic Country French Farmhouse decor ~ adding its elegant touch to a smaller space.Overall excellent vintage / antique condition: No cracks. Wood would like an oil rub. Bits of label residue on back. You have to learn how to turn the little knob at the back door; it takes a firm two finger turn. 45 " tall 14 " wide x 8 " deep
