Description: Welcome to my ebay store As my doll dr. biz inventory downsizing continues I will be listing more china shoulder heads from my collection. Most came from an antique dealers collection years ago. IN addition to other hairstyles I have 8 graduated size low forehead doll heads being listed, 7 with black hair and one blonde with her original price tag of $265!(See my store for other china heads like the Pet name, turned shoulder head, flat top etc.) This first head is 4" tall, low forehead center part. She has some hair rubs as typical, and a very very minute crack in the glaze by her inner left eye, not really noticeable other than up close. Also a few firing spots on nose and upper lip. Typical for a doll head that is 130+ years old. Most likely removed from an antique body at some time.When I plan to keep the dolls I sometimes do a very subtle and reversible touch up to the hair rubs with a black removable porcelain paint that air dries. It does an amazing job but I know a lot of collectors leave the flaws, so that's a buyer's decision. See photos and keep in mind total head size and width of shoulder plate for the body/torso to fit properly. She is around 2 7/8" across at bottom edge of shoulder plate. There is some old glue or fabric residue on back that will most likely come off with hot water and a razor blade, if I succeed in removing that I will update the listing.
