Description: Desription 0016465 Antique Victorian Desk Scissors, Shears with Dolphin Handles, GermanyA nice set of Antique German Scissors, Shears. The handles and sheath are brass, the scissors have dolphin handles and there are Mythological harpies on the sheath. The blades are steel, they pre-date stainless. Overall dimensions are 10 5/8" long and just the Scissors are 9 3/4". they are in good condition and do cut paper. They are signed but I cannot decipher the maker. There is rust on the iron blades, see photos. These are both decorative and perfectly practical.
