Description: This listing is for an antique German bisque doll recently purchased from a doll collection sold at a local auction. She was made by Kestner in the early 1900s. Her head is fine bisque with gray paperweight glass eyes. She has painted eyelashes and glossy multi-stroke eyebrows. Her lips are light pink with a faint red outline and she has four upper teeth. She has red dots in her nostrils and rosy pink cheeks. Note the tiny dimple in her chin! Her ears are not pierced and she still has the original pate or dome on the top of her head. She comes with her original brown human hair wig that was styled in ringlets. She is marked " 7 3/4 154 DEP" on the back of her neck. Her body is not marked. Her rivet jointed body is made of white kid leather with porcelain forearms and hands. It is the rare and older style with rivets at the joints. The back of her hands are tinted with pink. The fine detailing in her tiny feet and toes is hand sewn and finished. Her dress, slip, pantaloons and socks are modern 80s reproductions and are not original to the doll. The dress is maroon velvet with lace trim and the slip and pantaloons are cotton trimmed with lace. Her one black shoe is made of leather and marked "4" on the bottom. Condition: There are no cracks, repairs or hairlines on the bisque head but there is some wear on the eyelids. There are stains on the kid leather body and on the porcelain forearms. One leg is slightly shorter than the other and her arms are loose and attached to the body with bottoms and wires. One rivet is missing from her elbow and has an old repair with heavy wire. One shoe is missing. Her slip is damaged and stained. There is damage on the pate or dome. Please note: the antique books and doll stand are not included and are for display purposes only.
