Slide-in glass doors have a central solid brass knob and easily open and close. The metal side bands add a stately aesthetic to the piece, while providing extra solidity. All 5 shelf backs have a gray Globe-Wernicke sticker: PATTERN 111 Grade 299. The strong, sturdy, versatile bookshelf is ideal for the home, office, library, or shop display. GLOBE-WERNICKE began in 1882 as the Cincinnati based Globe Files Company. Globe purchased Otto Wernicke’s company in 1899 and is best known for its high-end stacking bookcases.
