Description: Extremely large Grand Tour Style model of the Temple of Vespasian and Titus located in the Roman Forum. Carved in solid marble, possibly Sienna marble with a black marble base. There is no significant damage to the piece, some light scratching and wear due to age. Item is comprised of 5 separate pieces - top section, three pillars and the base. Each section sits on top of each other and gravity holds the structure together as seen in the photos. Unlike smaller models of this type there are no pins for holding this together - possibly due to the size and weight. In regards to age, we cannot precisely date this piece. We cannot find a similar model of this size anywhere in our research, a truly stunning architectural piece to add to a collection or home.
