Description: Antique Vintage Hall & Knapp Try Square 7-1/2” Blade Rosewood Brass Unrestored * A great little antique try square with a 7-1/2” blade, rosewood stock, brass face and rivets. * Hall & Knapp began business in 1853 and then merged with A. Stanley & Co. in 1857 to form the Stanley Rule & Level Co. * This antique try square was passed down to me from my great, great grandfather, George C. Brennan. Those are his initials stamped on the rosewood stock. * During the late 1800's and early 1900's my great grandfather, Edward Henry Termath, was a professional carpenter in Leseur, Minnesota. * My dad, Edward J. Termath, was a master woodworker all of my life. * Our antique try square must have been use to create many woodworking projects by four Termath generations, as is evident by its wonderful used but not abused condition. * We offer this historic artifact of the Hall & Knapp and Stanley Tool Companies to be displayed as part of a worthwhile collection, rather than hidden away in a drawer. * Please see attached photos for overall condition. - Your Hall & Knapp Try Square is securely packaged and ready for immediate shipping. - Make us an offer… you may be surprised!
