Description: Antique Hallmarked Sterling Silver and Gilt Lidded Boudoir Pot Pill Box Birmingham 1906 Details Height : 2.5cm Diameter : 2.6cm Weight : 12gm This small antique hallmarked sterling silver boudoir pot which could double as a pill box, is in very good condition. There are no dings to the metal and the gilt interior is intact. The repousse design on the lid depicts a classical scene of a female pouring water into into a tall tapered vessel from which steam is rising. The pot is hallmarked both on the rim of the base and the lid for Birmingham 1906, putting it in the reign of Edward VII. The makers' initials, 'W&H' indicate it was produced by Walker and Hall. Please note, the lid fits exceptionally tightly.
