Description: This is a very nice TONGUE & GROOVE cupboard door with inside shelving. I am not an antique dealer and will do my best to describe this piece. I purchased this several years ago from a dealer at a high - end antique show in Upstate NY. I was told that it was from late 1800's - early 1900's - but I am not certain. The paint on the outside is a very light greenish blue - I can't say it is original since I do see other paint drip colors and the outside of the inside shelves may have been painted brown - the actual inside shelving has not been painted and has a very nice patina. I used this in my kitchen, mounted on the wall to display old utensils, cutting boards, and narrow bowls. To mount the cupboard door safely ( weighs almost 8 lbs.) we used a Hangman Heavy Duty Mirror / Picture Hanger, which required hardware to be mounted on the painted side of the door with 3 screws. I have not removed this hardware and will include the wall hardware / screws so the piece can be wall mounted in the same manner, if so desired. The hinges (still attached) are rusty and original, as well as the door latch / screws - which I removed to mount flush on the wall. The approximate measurements are: 28.25" high15.5" wide3.75" - 4.0" outside depth2.75" inside depth This is a great antique piece - the chippy paint, the tongue & groove, inside shelves make it so unique and the possibilities are endless. I love it and am sad to let it go. Pet free and smoke free home.
