Description: I recently purchased this at an auction in Hays. The leather Holder is marked HCFM, which I'm assuming stands for Hays City Flour Mill. The slick also came with this postcard of the old Yost mill. The company that made the slick was formed in 1923. They are no longer in business. The purpose of the slick was to check the milling process to insure the quality of the flour. The slick and it's leather Holder are in good shape.
