Description: This is a fantastic antique huge primitive wooden dough/bread bowl. This bowl has a terrific dark patina with a wide upper outer grooved rim & footed base!!! Shows its many years of use with lots of cutting & chop marks. A hefty bowl as it weighs just under 6 pounds. Not exactly sure of type of wood, possibly walnut based on dark patina & weight. It is slightly out of round in shape as it measures approximately 18 3/4 inches one way & 17 3/4 inches the other way & is 6 inches height. It is in fantastic age appropriate condition with no cracks or drying lines. Does have scattered wear, lots of chop & cutting marks!!! A fabulously large, deep depth bowl that would be wonderful for display having plenty of room to fill or leave as is!!!! This one is hard to let go as the size & condition is harder to find.
