Measures 34-1/2" long. James Durfee (1766 - 1850) operated a blacksmith shop in New Bedford from 1800 to 1845). The ship Henry Astor made whaling voyages from Hudson NY and Nantucket 1831 to 1848. For enhanced presentation, an historically accurate reproduction wood pole and roping fitted to this harpoon is available for $250 extra. Please 4 week lead time.
