Description: Lovely C.1935 half moon bamboo flower basket. The basket is made out of Smoked and split bamboo in a Dazzled pattern. Rich patina strips of bamboo woven into the weave. The basket is in Excellent condition. Basket belonged to a collection from an American teacher who lived in Japan between 1930s to 1960s. The teacher was Miss E.E. Baker was the first foreign woman who was accepted to the Imperial University of Fukuoka. Dimensions: 14”-long, 13”-high, approximately 9”wide. I found only one spot where bamboo almost got split across. The rest of the basket in great sturdy condition.
