Antique KPM Porcelain Bowl/Dish, Unique Shape with "Folded" Edges, 19th Century

Description: Antique KPM Porcelain Bowl/Dish, Unique Shape with "Folded" Edges, 19th Century, Hand Painted Floral Design This beautiful 19th century porcelain bowl/dish was made in Germany by KPM; the references refer to this as part of the "Kristef Porcelain" collection, c. 1885. The shape and design of the bowl are quite unique; as you can see from the photos, the hand painted design makes it appear that two of the edges have been folded in on themselves, as though the piece were made with fabric. There are delicate blue and yellow flowers with green leaves painted by hand inside the bowl. There are also gold trim and gold flowers hand painted as well. The bowl also has raised, knob -like projections on the inside. On the bottom (underside) of the bowl is the KPM manufacturing mark in blue with the vertical line as well as the "Made in Germany" red circle mark. Also impressed in the porcelain on the bottom is "405", perhaps indicating the model number. The dish is not quite rectangular but measures about 10" wide by about 7.5" high; it stands a little over 2" from the table top. This treasure is in mint condition; I could find no chips, cracks or marks of any king.
