Description: Beautiful early 19th Century Spode Stone-China Plate (early Spode pattern book - NY Public Library - dates pattern to 1802). Excellent condition showing only light wear on gold pagodas. No chips or cracks. Made in Stoke-on-Trent England. Hand painted details and transfer ware Chinese landscape design featuring pagodas, mountains and lotus blossoms. Gold detailing. 8 inches in diameter. Marked on underside with Spode blue cartouche and “Stone China”. Pattern number 2857 also features on underside of plate in red. Gorgeous display piece. Identical plate is part of the ceramics collection at the Victoria and Albert museum London. 2 plates available, priced separately.
