There are spots of damage to the veneer on the exterior, primarily at the edges and corners. The inside of the lid has the original orange paper and gold edging. The outside has a beautiful brass inlaid with tea leaves and seeds. Brass handles. Measures 11 inches long 5.5 inches wide 5.5 inches tall
