A great admirer of the United States and the American Constitution, Buchon published ‘Atlas géographique, statistique, historique et chronologique des Deux Amériques et des iles adjacentes’ in 1825. This was a French language version of Carey and Lea’s ‘A Complete Historical, Chronological and Geographical American Atlas’ published in the United States in 1822.
