Description: We wish we knew more about this artist, Walter E. Church, because his legacy is a wonderful collection of pencil drawings, done in the 1920s in France and England. This one, dated July 6, 1920, depicts the St. Mary's Church, Pirton, built 500 years ago and largely unchanged over the centuries, including the ninety-nine years since this drawing was made. We love the whimsical weathervane on top of this church and his use of brown pencil here and there as a highlight. It is matted in an acid-free mat to 11" x 14" for ease of framing and is in excellent condition, as pictured. Please see our other listings for more Church drawings; we will combine shipping!
