Description: Antique Men’s Leather Collar Box with Silver Stud & Cufflink Compartment Dated May 27, 1890 Description: Antique leather collar box with satin interior, 4 collars, and silver plated cuff link safe Color: Brown with green interior Era Manufactured: 1890 AKA “The Gilded Age”, “The Gay Nineties”, “Mauve Decade”, and “Victorian Era” Dimensions: 8 ½” Wide X 7 5/16” deep X 5 ¼” Tall Condition: Great vintage condition (see photographs), original condition, with some imperfections in keeping with its age. (See description below).Colors/Returns: See below This gorgeous, authentic collar box is bursting with charm! Antique embossed Victorian collar box with a cufflink safe on the top. The cufflink safe is silver plated and decorated with a griffin and flower. The gold tone closure works well and is decorated wiith scrolls and flowers. The box also contains collars. The box is made of cardboard with brown embossed leather or other material. The inside is lined with red satin material. The leather case is in remarkably excellent condition for it’s age of 134 years old! The green satin lining appears to be original – it is fading, but again – for it’s age is amazing. There are some slight imperfections, like the fabric fading and some small surface nicks, but honestly, they just add to its character. The smaller interior partitian is to hold cuffs. WE are unsure of the initials engraved on top: but it appears to be a lowercase “g” and “r”?
