Description: ANTIQUE TINY BEADS HAND-MADE EVENING BAG This listing features a darling little Edwardian-era wrist purse made in France. It is beautifully hand-beaded with tiny gold, silver, and bronze beads in a pattern research did not find on any other bags currently listed or recently sold. Measuring approximately 4 inches tall (not including the 12 inches long wrist chain) by 3 1/4 inches wide, it has that delicious weight and slinkiness that only the best old mesh pieces have. The kiss clasp still works securely. The interior has a beige silk twisted cord as trim to cover the hand stitching that attaches the frame to the body. The original lining is long gone with bits of fraying still present, but it can be easily trimmed if the new owner desires. Some of the stitching that attaches the frame to the body is broken but the purse is still very much together. None of the side seams are damaged and the area around both hinges is not damaged either (that’s unusual). The hardware is in terrific original condition, on the heavy side, and decorated with an ornate floral design on every surface. “MADE IN FRANCE” is marked on the interior of the frame.
