Description: This offer is for one antique museum specimen jar. The jar is hand blown with a ground glass stopper and is used. The size is 16 ¾ inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter and it holds about 3.35 liters ( about 0.86 gallons). The jar body is in good condition, and there are no rim chips. The ground glass stopper may have one or more cracks which do not penetrate the top fully. These cracks have not compromised the integrity of the seal during my use of the jar for specimen holding and the ground glass lid makes a tight seal. The glass lid has a hook and there are no cracks present. The jar would make an outstanding and authentic addition to any preserved specimen collection. These old jars are hard to find in this size.Sorry but no International shipping is offered. Breakage note: In the rare event the jar is damaged in transit, do not throw out any packing material or boxes. Take photos of everything, breakage, outer packaging and inner packaging and send to me, the more photos the better. Then ship back the broken item at my expense and I will refund your full price. Thank you.
