Description: A cassolette (urn) shape candelabra for 4 candles, in the style of Napoleon III, circa 1850-90. The candelabra has a black slate weighted base on elaborate scrolled feet supporting a brass and contrasting metal urn pedestal with raised medallion on which three scrolled arms branch out with candle and bobeche etched in Greek key. On either side of base are dog’s head escutcheon with dangling handles. No discernible marks. Length: 6 inches between each candelabra arms, 5 inches at base. Depth: 4.5 inches at base Height: 19.5 inches Weight: 8.4 lbs The item is antique and sold as is/as found. It may show wear, fading, scratches, dings, dents, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. One arm has a missing brass knob as shown in photos.
