Description: Nippon Hand Painted Purple Violet Flowers & Gold Fluted Tea Cup & Saucer Nice antique fluted / spiral shanked porcelain tea cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted purple violet flowers on the inside of the cup and on the saucer, with gold gilding and lattice/net design around the edge.The cup is marked on the bottom with the blue Maple leaf and Nippon Hand Painted mark. This mark was used between 1891 and 1911. The saucer is unmarked. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 1 7/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. IUIX
