Description: This is an exciting Oz story, number 26 in the main series. This is an early edition of the book with artwork on bookends. Famous characters like Dorothy, Cowardly Lion and the Wizard are in this book plus Ojo and Ozma. This truly antique book has wear. Luckily there is a facsimile plastic book cover. Jno (John) R. O'Neill continues to delight with many pen & ink drawings. First the outside covers are hanging unhinged from book but not off the spine. The actual bulk of the book remains together. All pages present. The front pasted image is very faded. Dings on the cover corners. Inside first page has a small tear on bottom corner page. Pages have wear and age spots (see my pictures) The spine is worn but main section is still attached and covers although unhinged are attached to spine. Pages are discolored with age or have slight age smudges. Amazingly all 12 color plates exist and still look vivid and amazing but with some wear. This book belongs too page has no writing. For the age it is still a wonderful collectors item. The facsimile plastic cover is rare to have and a nice addition.(please not not original plastic cover but a facsimile.)
