Description: 1 pound six ounces of solid brass and bevelled glass. No maker's name visible, but perhaps inside the case? Closely resembles some clocks by Jos. W. Jones. Probably dates to before WWI. Angled to point the face of the clock up towards the driver/helmsman. Includes the rare detachable mounting plate which screws to the dash and on which the clock is locked by the same key that winds it. Under the small threaded cap is a square-headed captive screw to take the clock on and off the backing plate. Clock bezel unscrews to wind the movement or move the hands. No cracks or chips to the glass. Sheet brass sleeve around body has cracked with age and could be replaced or perhaps repaired. Will be generously packed and shipped for exact cost only. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions.
