This is an original Cecil Aldin book illustration from a First Edition 1912 Book entitled “ Black Beauty The Autobiography of a Horse “ by Anna Sewell . His work is now extremely sought after . The entire piece measures approximately 8.75 inches x 6.5 inches .The area in the border measures 6 inches x 4.5 inches . I am offering a number of his illustrations .Most are signed within the print .These largely bear his signature monogram to the bottom corner . The scene title is printed in the border . These look fabulous framed , you can include the title should you wish , when framing these . They are nearly all Horse / Equestrian related but many include other animals , scenes and figures .
