Description: Mid 19th century Utagawa Kunisada III original woodblock print on paper. Features include the artist's cartouche, block cutter's seal indicating Yokokawa Horitake, and date seal indicating 852 (year of the rat). To the best of my knowledge, the kabuki actor pictured is Matsumoto Koshiro V. Framed size is 12.75" x 10" with a matted sight size of 7" x 5", using archival mat board. Purchased unframed at Jolliffe's Oriental - Denver, 1978. Original receipt included (unframed value in today's dollars would be $168). We have a smoke-free home.
