The photo shows the hotel with wooden trade sign mounted on the building reading “Columbia Hotel, Wm. H. Calder Prop.” There is also an early, pre-prohibition beer sign mounted on the hotel advertising “Dobler Lager, Albany, NY”. The mat is stamped by the photographer “Whitbeck, Hudson, N.Y.” at lower right corner. The photo measures approx. 14 by 11 inches at the exterior margins of its original cardboard mat. The photo alone, excluding the cardboard mat, measures approx. 9.5 by 7.5 inches, Condition is good, having toning on the cardboard mat, as shown.
