Movement marked "Roman, Melly & Roux a Constance No. 7035". Tested 18K by my jeweler. Case decorated with seed pearls and ruby cabochons. Gemstones have been authenticated by my gemologist. The back cover enameled with a hunting scene with cobalt acanthus leaf border. Includes key. Roman, Melly & Roux were a German watch manufacturer with Swiss origins from Geneva. After 1778 the company was based in Constance. Ami Melly was company director from 1778 to 1785; his successor was Franois Roman. MEASUREMENTS: 1-7/8" diameter. Weight with movement and crystal 44.8 dwt (69.8 gr). Chain not included CONDITION: Running. Has been professionally serviced by my watchmaker. Light overall wear as expected with age and use.
