Description: Up for auction is an antique Rand McNally railroad ticket cabinet with a patent date of 1883. This cabinet would have been used as a portable ticket office by railroads and its roll top kept the tickets safe inside when not in use. It measures 19.5" tall, just over 16.5" wide at the base and 9.25" deep. The inside of the cabinet would have originally been fitted with metal slots, these are no longer present. The roll top is complete and does function properly, but it needs a little guidance from the back side when closing. There is a small chunk missing from the top rear corner, 2 splits in the top, as well as a nail hole that has broken through on the left top side of the piece that the Rand McNally tag is attached to, all of which are shown in the photos. There is no lock. There is overall wear from use and handling and it could use a careful cleaning, but overall is in pretty good shape as you can see in the photos. Please check out the photos and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking! US shipping as indicated. I am able to ship via USPS, UPS or FedEx. All three options are quoted in the shipping section. International orders ship through eBay International Shipping only. I am unable to make any exceptions.
