Antique Salem Ship's Bell Clock w/ Ship's Wheel Case on Brass Base Not Running

Description: Item Description Nice Vintage Salem Ship's Clock (Time & Ship's Bell Strike) affixed to a brass base for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself! Nice looking wall clock here. Made by the Salem Clock Company in the USA. Would guess from design that the clock was made sometime in the 1940s to 1950s. Some minor scratching to the silver colored clock face. The glass over the face is loose from the bezel. Nice brass colored lacquered case here. Ship's wheel spindles are all in place. The brass case is all there. No dings or dents to the metal case. Does show some minor lacquer loss and patina to the case. The case has a screw on bezel. The glass is intact, no cracks and a couple small blisters to the glass around the outer edge. The glass is loose in the bezel, so be careful when taking the bezel off. The clock has an 8 day mechanical brass movement. The wind springs are tightly wound. The clock will come with a wind key. The clock does strike when the clock hand is moved manually, not in order expected. The clock's springs are wound tight. The escape wheel can be seen moving when running. So, the clock is being sold in not running and striking condition. Nice brass base that this clock is securely attached to. The Salem Ship's Bell Clock on brass stand is 7-3/8" tall, by 5.75" across, by 3.0" wide. The Ship's Clock is 4.25" across by the front bezel. The clock face is 3" across. A heavy piece, so expect the shipping cost to reflect that. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
