On cover top is garden with lush vegetation and flower baskets inhabited by an alert dog eyeing up the birds; on underside is vase. Both have leafing scroll surround. On sides same alternating with cornucopias. Gold is tricolor but not in the Revolutionary sense. Exquisite proof of the reemergence of the luxury market under Napoleon I. Marked.
