Description: Here's an elegant tall vanity jar with sterling silver lid and crystal base from Mappin & Webb of London. The lid has an elegant simple design that is monogrammed with the letter 'N' on top. The base is clear crystal with flat panels around the side. The lid is in excellent condition with minimal wear.The lid screws on as designed. The box or jar measure 7½ inches tall and 1¼ inches in diameter. It weighs 6 ounces before packaging. It is in excellent condition with no scrapes or discoloration spots to the silver. I have only given the lid a light polish. The base is in excellent condition and is not cloudy or nicked. Please review pictures. The top of the lid is marked with English hallmarks as shown. The date letter is a lower case h which seems like 1863, but I don't think M&W was in business that early.
