Description: Teacup and matching saucer from an antique set made in Limoges, France between 1918 and 1929 by Alfred Lanternier. Alfred worked in England for Wedgwood before joining his father's company, which then became A. Lanternier & Cie. Starting in 1918, the factory produced tableware sets for tea, coffee, and dinner. In 1925, A. Lanternier showed many items at the Paris Decorative Arts Exhibition. The jury gave Lanternier a "Grand Prix".The cup is around 1.75 inches (4.45 cm) tall and 4 inches (10.16 cm) in diameter. The saucer has a diameter of 5.75 inches (14.6 cm).They are in good condition, with no cracks, chips, or repairs visible.Expected wear due to age and prior use. Some discoloration and faded or missing gilt are present.
