Description: Antique Theodor Fahrner .925 Silver Gilt Filigree Post Earrings with Cultured Pearl and Marcasite Details in Original Hugo Meschke Jewelry Box These beautiful earrings are in excellent condition and a wonderful example of the craftsmanship of famed German jeweler Theodor Fahrner (4 August 1859 - 22 July 1919). He was one of the foremost designers in Pforzheim in the Black Forrest in Southern Germany. These earrings are silver gilt, with fine filigree and set with marcasite (iron pyrites) and cultured pearls. Both earrings are marked on the back Original Fahrner with company logo: TF in a circle The backs do not match, but both are marked 835 gilt and are from same time period. House in their original box marked Hugo Meschke, a Leipzig Germany jeweler, these earrings are a rare find.
