Has venting at top.Also has the handle in the back.Measures approximately 6" tall(H) x 3 1/2"L/W x 2 1/4"D.Estate purchased of a former antique dealer, they thought it was either civil war or children's lantern from 1800's. Is old, and does show the kiss of time, glass is still intact, without any cracks. Metal has dust and scratches and does have a dent in the bottom.
