Description: Antique Trunk Handle Retainers--Cast Steel--Original from the late 1800's--Set of four 1-7/8" long by 2-1/4" wide--Inset dimension is 1-1/4" wide and 1-1/4" deep--Quality Hardware--Finished in hammered black enamel--I have included 13- one inch tacks for mounting--You will need to drill a hole about 1/8 inch into sidewall of trunk so prong of these retainers can set level--They were designed like this so that the prong would add support to the retainer fasteners and allow for movement of leather handle. Use slotted handles for movement of the leather--If you need slotted leather handles I can supply in black or russett at $20 a pair.
