Description: Antique Very Rare Otis Elevator Folding Seat. In my 45 years of Union working on elevators, I have never run across one of these tell I found this gem. It bolts to the floor and then bolts to the wall up top. You lift up on the seat and it snaps into itself and holds itself up in the folded position. This would have been in elevators back in the late 20’s through the 60’s where they had “elevator operators” that would manually operate the elevators. It has a couple dents on the seat area. I cleaned it up but didn’t want to take away from the original usage.
