Description: Antique Victorian 1890s Bodice & Skirt Set Tan Silk Leg of Mutton Sleeve AS IS. Here we have an authentic 1890s skirt and bodice set in a rich ochre or tan silk. The full skirt has a small bustle in the back with a very slight train. The elaborate bodice features enormous leg of mutton sleeves, decorative buttons, and many hooks and eyes at the center for closure. It is well tailored with boning in the under bust and waist for structure. All buttons on the piece are decorative and not functional. A white jacquard piece of silk is gathered at the center front and around the neck. This piece is in decent condition considering its age, however there are many areas of damage. There are many small holes to the exterior fabric. The waistline closure of the skirt has torn off. All of the center front hook and eyes are attached and working, they most likely have been mended at some point. There is no odor. This piece should only be delicately worn or used as inspiration.
