Description: This auction is for a Preloved Antique Victorian Rose Gold Plated Swirls Heart Locket Coin Edge Pendant Fob….….. a lovely antique gold plated locket…..The locket was made in the late 1800’s era….. there are no photos inside and there is one original metal frame inside, which is rare for a piece of this age…..The locket is heart shape and is decorated on one side only with a pretty delicate design of scrolls which have been engraved……Motifs associated with nature were very popular in Victorian times and jewellery was quite often embellished with scrolls and ivy leaves were particularly popular……Lockets of course are designed for keep sakes such as photographs of a loved one etc….This locket is in good condition but does have wear and tear on the front and back due to age, wear and love….The hinge which is at the bottom works well and it shuts well too…measures approx 7/8” wide and long ….hangs approx 1 1/4” ….unmarked ... please see all my photos as they are part of my description….
