Has some old rusty nails on back where you would place the glass & photos. Color is a very dark brown with gold gesso on inner & outer edge. Measures 12 1/4" x 10 1/4" x 1 1/4". Holds an 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" picture. We buy most of our pieces at auctions & Flea Markets, so we may not know the history of the item. We are not antique dealers, collectors or experts.
