Description: This is very rare beautifully designed platter/tray made by the famous European makers, Villeroy and Boch. This incredible serving board has been made in the Aesthetic Movement Baroque Revival style popular in Europe in the late 19th to early 20th century. The name “Villeroy & Boch, Dresden” has been worked into the design on the front, very clever. The tray is marked on the back with symbols an imprinted numbers.See photographsThe colors and the design are really strong with lovely details. The tray would make a perfect decoration or vanity top tray. This item is in great condition of all parts of it: porcelain, wood framing and bronze handles, as you can see in the photos. There are no chips or cracks that I can find. However the wood frame needed to be refurbished for to restore perfection of this tray. The decoration of the porcelain part has some tears/fading of gilding. This does not diminished the beauty and elegance of the front of the tray..It measures 16.5" by 11" by 2".
