Description: HOFFMAN PORTABLE BC MODEL A-700 CHASSIS 110S PARTS/REPAIRI got this from a retired radio repairman as a project and for parts. This is the chassis and antenna from an A-700 model Hoffman. The antenna structure which is riveted to the metal case is included. The rest of the radio was beyond hope. The power cord was cut off. I tested the chassis with a test cord. It does not power up. The underside appears to be entirely original. The speaker cone is good. The speaker was tested with a 9V battery - it produces scratchy audio. The dial string is good. The tuning capacitor moves. Volume and tuning controls move. The antenna structure which is riveted to the metal case is included. There is a nice clean schematic glued to the metal case.
