Description: Gorgeous purse with jewelled frame. The combination of a nicely jewelled frame with a black bag is always lovely as there is nothing that shows off a beautiful frame like a black bag. This little purse combines a lovely jewelled frame with a finely made black bag. The effect is stunning. The frame is jewelled on one side and the other side of the frame is ordained with intricate and beautiful scroll work. Both sides are shown in the photos. A delicate fabric purse like this which is still intact is very difficult to come by. Most have shredded through the years but this piece retains the original work with no splits to the fabric. Bag is beautifully ruched with intricate fluting on both sides. This would have been made by a very talented artisan as the work is extremely finely detailed, delicate and precise. It's likely that this purse originated in France and it's probably a one-of-a-kind original piece made for a special client from one of the shoppes on the rue. Lining is original and aged but damage free. There is a slight gap in the frame when closed but bag opens and shuts well although it can be tight to open. This little bag is a smaller delicate size which adds to its charm and it measures about 3.25 to 5.5 inches (8 to 13 cm.) wide. Height is about 5.5 inches (13 cm.) Fabric handle has a drop of about 5 inches (13 cm.).
