Description: Antique vintage The Star Hacksaw Company tin litho container. Manufactured by Clemson Bros, Inc. Middletown, N.Y. U.S.A.. Patented April, 5 1898; April 26 1898. Measures just over 12 1/2" side edge to edge, 2 1/4" front to back, 3/4" tall. Green black and gold tone coloration. Tin is empty in great original condition no cracks splits, lid opens and closes freely no hesitation all lettering is easy to read. It is in original as found condition will need a cleaning there are dirt spots and smudges, surface rust spots in a areas, scratches and scuffs rub marks base metal shows through small spots. Even though there are imperfections tin is in great original condition with a little tlc it would make an excellent addition to any collection.
