Description: Description: The item up for bids is an antique silver plated individual teapot from the Tontine Hotel in Greenock, Scotland. It is a Walker & Hall Sheffield A1 Patent Handle model with a ball finial on the lid and a vented handle designed to dissipate heat. On one side of the teapot is an elaborate hand engraved monogram. This teapot was designed for commercial use and it is solid and well built. It is signed on the bottom as shown. It’d be the perfect addition to a vintage tea collection, have some fun and bid! Dimensions: It about 6-3/8” long from the spout tip to the back of the handle, about 3-7/8” tall at the top of the finial, and about 3/1/2” in diameter at the base. It weighs about 346 grams. (Note: measurements are approximate) Condition: It is in good antique condition. It shows age appropriate storage and handling wear with scuffs, scratches, and dings. The silver plating is in good shape with minimal rub through. It has tarnish and could benefit from a polish. There are no dents or bends. The lid hinge is in good shape with just a bit of wobble.
