Description: I obtained this antique biscuit jar at a estate auction. It’s very pretty with its Fruit & Vine motif and the handle and lid is decorative with a handle on the lid as well on the jar. I polished the lid and handle and it’s just very pretty. From what info I obtained this piece was made in 1906. There are no chips or cracks although there is crazing throughout. The jar is very durable and strong and the crazing just adds to its timelessness and beauty. There is some info that indicates this piece survived a fire which I think is amazing. That info sheet is seen in the photos and I will leave it inside the jar. This jar is 1906 Sheffield England. I believe this piece to be a very special antique. As seen in photos, the underside branding is wearing off although the underside of the lid also has info as seen in photos. Thanks for browsing my site. All offers will be considered.
