Colby is an American Listed Artist who worked closely with the Chicago Art Institute. Favorite subjects were forest and mountain landscapes. Colby was from Pleasant Grove (Olmsted County) Minnesota. His work was exhibited widely and even sold at Carson Pirie Scott in Chicago in the early 1900's. This work has been displayed in a non-smoking, pet free home for past 25 years.
